I also personally find the 92A1 is my second fav Beretta 92 variant - right behind the standard 92FS (which balances the best 1 handed, IMHO). There is also finally aftermarket night sights for the 92A1 from Trijicon now. And, while others may disagree - I personally like the regular front and rear strap serrations over the checkering on the M9A1.I've been planning on picking up a Beretta and revisiting the platform (even before the big announcement) and have already solicited a few friends on their thoughts. Just wanting to get an opinion or two from the members here in the know about what their preferences are as to the 90 series. The M9A1 series seems to be popular but I also see the Wilson guns are 92A1s.

I’ve shot the M9A1 a lot more than the SP01, and I fucking love it. Aesthetics/ergos are perfect, quality feels much better, and the trigger is pretty nice when broken in. Stock SP-01T vs stock 92A1/M9A1 , i’ll take the SP-01T. The SP-01T decocker is much easier to manipulate compared to 92’s.

The 92A1 is a bit of an odd duck, and I can't help but think it's left off a lot of compatibly lists not because it isn't compatible, but because no-one thinks to include it.
